AP Moderator Job Position

Before anyone ask and if they read the rules they should have seen this to so please read this new and old members.

What does a Moderator do?

Moderators, as most of you know, police the forums for bad behavior and straighten up user etiquette. They discipline users and tell people what's right and wrong. Moderators are basically policemen. Right? WRONG.

Moderators are more closely related to janitors. We ensure that conversations are going smoothly, and that the forums are running the way they're supposed to, and that people are comfortable. If any person needs help, the person they should be able to turn to first is a moderator. The staff here are the outward face to the forum, and their behavior may reflect well or poorly on the forum itself. It is important for staff members to be cordial, helpful, and all around friendly.

Moderators' general tasks are closing threads, moving threads, deleting inappropriate posts, dealing with signatures that are too large, helping with technical difficulties, and keeping threads/forums on-topic.
